Abstract
High-peak power THz has been explored for electron acceleration or deflection for over a decade [1–6]. From initially isolated results with sub-100keV electron beams, recent years have seen a growth in attention for acceleration and manipulation of relativistic beams. The move from concept to real-world application has begun, and much potential remains for application to high-energy acceleration. This presentation givens an overview of past and ongoing research in the THz acceleration group of the Cockcroft Institute in the UK.
