Abstract
This paper describes a transformation matrix to achieve voltage command signals for generation of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals for a Four Switch Three Phase Inverter (FSTPI) fed motor drive using vector control method. From the simulation and experimental results, the motor current, response characteristics, motor efficiency and speed-torque characteristics are examined. A comparison between the proposed method and the conventional method is shown. Results show the proposed strategy is improved the overall performance of the drive.
