Abstract
The Local Dynamic Map(LDM), which integrates static and dynamic traffic information, plays an important role with the development of the Cooperative Intelligent Transportation System(C-ITS). However, there is little research about using LDM to deploy V2X applications in China. We aim to provide some applications about LDM to improve efficiency in engineering projects. A method is proposed to generate the V2X messages including MAP, Roadside Information(RSI), and Roadside Safety Message(RSM) automatically for the roadside unit(RSU) with LDM in this study. The MAP message and partial static RSI message are generated from the OpenDRIVE high definition map. The RSM is created by objection detection, objection tracking and multi-sensor fusion algorithm. A visual toolkit based on MATLAB is presented to display dynamic traffic participants in LDM. All these methods can help the engineer to deploy the V2X application easily.
