Abstract
Hybrid generation type power generating units are considered in this article to demonstrate the application of fractional order 2DOF -PID (FO-2DOF -PID) controller for frequency oscillation regulation. The effective and efficient J aya algorithm is utilized to adjust the constraints of fractional order 2DOF -PID controller. The tuned constraints of the fractional order 2DOF-PID controller are obtained with the application of 1 % demand deviation in control area 1. Analysis witnessed that the suggested fractional order 2DOF -PID controller performs well as related to conventional 2DOF -PID controller and PID controller. Jaya algorithm tuned FO-2DOF-PID controller put to robustness test by abruptly augmenting the demand in area 1 by 5%.
