Abstract
This paper describes a method for processing the data of a capacitive multielectrode (ECT-like) twin sensor for extraction of velocity profiles, which is applied to investigate two-phase gas-liquid flows. The proposed method is based on the crosscorrelation of upward and downward sensors signals to estimate the time lag of structures in the flow. In order to obtain spatial (profile) information, a simple linear back-projection technique is applied. Results with synthetic data shows the capability of the simple method. Real flow data has been processed which depicts some promising results for flow rate estimation in two-phase flows.
