Abstract
Acne is a skin condition that could cause whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. Acne is most common among teenagers, though it affects people of all ages. Commonly., people with acne search about acne treatment through the Internet., but they are not aware of the treatments danger that have been recommended online. Several sources especially on the website are not truly authentic, specifically about the acne care products. Hence, this research aims to develop an expert system that could give suggestion on the acne treatment, the dosage recommendation, and the acne types. This research focuses on three types of common face acne which are comedonal acne, papulopustular acne, and cystic acne that happen in adolescence age. The image processing technique is applied to analyze the number of acnes on an image. Then, the Fuzzy Rule using Forward Chaining is combined with a Knowledge-Based System to analyze the acne problem and recommend the dosage treatment. This approach could improve the shortcomings of previous expert system methods since a Fuzzy Knowledge-Based System can show the degree of seriousness of acne based on the user's input data as well as recommend the treatments.
