Abstract
Increasing complexity in the security of the pharmaceutical industry has raised concerns about the safety of drugs during transportation of the supply chain. Counterfeit drugs and the risk of unauthorized access during transportation pose a serious threat. To solve these problems, the paper aims to improve drug safety and transparency in supply chain of pharmaceutical industry. This paper focuses on developing an IoT and RFID technology-based system, which aims to track and monitor the entire transportation process of the medicine container from the manufacturer to the retailer. The system enables real-time tracking of the location and status of drug tampering to all authorized stakeholders including wholesalers, retailers, and medical facilities. This can improve drug safety and prevent counterfeit drugs using IoT and RFID technology. Real-time monitoring of the system and system design enables stakeholders to gain trust, enabling quick responses to identified problems.
