Abstract
Due to global warming, many countries are making efforts to achieve zero carbon emissions. As part of this, the government is increasing the amount of eco-friendly power generation. Among them, the demand for wind power generators is increasing every year because of the advantages of abundant resources and high efficiency and the ability to create high-power wind farms. To smoothly operate a high-output wind power generator, a high-output power converter is involved. In the past, the topology was connected in series or parallel to handle high power. This method is expensive because it requires many switches. By using a high-power switch element, a single topology can be configured without parallel connection. In this paper, we intend to investigate whether the ANPC topology using 10kV IGCT can handle the 20MW wind power generation system through heat loss analysis.
