Abstract
This paper is concerned with the super-stability of a one dimensional wave equation with time delay in the boundary. Based on the backstepping method, a feedback control law is presented, and it is shown that the energy of the resulting closed-loop system vanishes in finite time under this control law with special parameters. In the end, the numerical simulations verify the existence of the finite extinction phenomenon for the delayed system.
