Abstract
This paper describes a power efficient and simple integrated circuit (IC) for Bengali alphabet character using 26- segment display. IC based Bengali alphabet character display is more demotic over the other method like microcontroller based method mainly because of cost, power consumption and design complexity. So far few works have been focused on the field of IC design based Bangla alphabet character technology. This work introduces an IC based Bangla alphabet character technology which is susceptible to make all the Bangla alphabet character. The designed IC consists of NOT gate, 5-input AND gate, 2-input, 3-input and 5-input OR gate. To prepare the layout, the basic knowledge of fabrication process and IC design are explicated. Both schematic and layout of the introduced IC were designed and simulated by MICROWIND and DSCH to ensure their performance. By designing the IC based Bangla alphabet character technology, all Bangla vowels and consonants are characterized.
