Abstract
This paper presents mathematical and logical methods implemented as computer programs that calculate the parameters of the operation of relay protection devices. The developed algorithms and software modules make it possible to automatically calculate the response parameters of relay protection devices that implement the functions of three-stage current protection against phase-to-phase short circuits. For the correct transmission of setpoints in accordance with the requirements of the IEC 61850 standard, an electronic documentation file (Configure parameters description) has been developed, containing a description and values of the device response parameters, and the sequence of transmission of setpoints to relay protection terminals has been determined.
