Abstract
This article presents an electronic circuit kit for building a Chua corsage memristor (CCM) using only off-the-shelf components [17 resistors, 1 capacitor, four operational amplifiers (op-amps), and two analog multipliers]. Adding a second capacitor and an inductor to the CCM gives birth to a biomimetic neuron exhibiting a prodigious garden variety of neuromorphic phenomena. By transforming the two standard equations defining a memristor into two parametric equations, we succeeded in tracing, on the oscilloscope, the entire triple-value dc V–I curve with an unstable branch sandwiched in between, without gaps, a scientific tour de force to emulate.
