Abstract
Bisulfite sequencing is used to detect the methylated status at single nucleotide resolution. Coupled with a recently developed next generation sequencing technology, it becomes a powerful tool for studying the epigenetic regulations in a variety of biological systems. However, due the large dataset generated from this kind of experiment, limited software packages are available for analyzing the resultant high-throughput bisulfite sequencing data with reasonable performance in terms of efficiency and accuracy. To solve this problem,, we developed an integrated data analysis pipeline Methy-Pipe for analyzing whole genome methylome data. The capability of it running in parallel on Linux cluster makes this pipeline superior to other exisetnent softwares.
