Abstract
In the context of Smart microgrids, the different control modes of the individual converters used to manage the power flows become useful. The document proposes the analysis of the controls used for the different converters of a DC microgrid, defined as nanogrid. The nanogrid consists of the connection of several generic nodes and is managed by a decentralized logic, the DC Bus Signaling which allows the converters to operate independently of each other. The converters used for each single node and the control strategy of each are presented and discussed. The simulation results, via Ansys Electronics Desktop, demonstrate the performance and effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.
