Abstract
Since in the process of crude oil exploitation, water inevitably is discharged into the crude oil storage tank, and moisture in crude oil can impair storage, transportation, and production. Therefore, crude oil should be dehydrated before entering the refinery and other further processing, and the drainage of the crude oil storage tank is a key link in the crude oil treatment. In this paper, a dehydration scheme and control logic of a crude oil storage tank is designed, and OLE for Process Control (OPC)technology is used to realize the communication between the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and the host computer. Based on Windows Control Center (WINCC), a host computer monitoring system is Established to monitor the liquid medium in the buffer tank and in the tubes before and after the buffer tank in real-time. The dehydration process of the crude oil storage tank is completed by logical operation. This system has the advantages of high precision, convenient control, practicality, and safe and reliable work.
