Abstract
A Ka-Band even harmonic quadrature modulator has been developed for implementation in a low cost satellite communications briefcase terminal. The packaged modulator's conversion loss was measured to be less than 11 dB, sideband suppression better than 16 dB and carrier suppression of 35 dB over the 29 to 30 GHz frequency range.
