Abstract
In the contemporary architectural and construction domain, a paradigm shift is evident through the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sophisticated project review tools, notably Revit and Navisworks. This paper delves into this transformative journey from conventional 2D drafting methodologies to the intricate realm of 3D modeling, emphasizing its revolutionary impact on electrical design and the broader construction arena. Central to our exploration is a case study on electrical design of commercial aviation project located in California, USA meticulously developed using Revit software. This project serves as a testament to the enhanced precision, collaboration, and holistic insights afforded by these advanced tools, reshaping the trajectory of building design and construction. Through this paper, we aim to elucidate the multifaceted benefits, challenges, and the overarching implications of integrating BIM and associated technologies in modern construction endeavors.
