Abstract
In this paper, we analyze the performance of an Energy Harvesting (EH)-assisted Cooperative Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) scheme where the near user serves as a relay to decode the signals of both users and harvests energy using Time Switching Relaying (TSR) protocol. In a framework of EH relaying, we derive a closed-form expression for the Outage Probability (OP) of the users. We also derive the throughput of the system. Lastly, we have compared the performance of our scheme with an existing work based on the Power Splitting Relaying (PSR) protocol. We show that our model outperforms the existing one with respect to outage probability.
