Abstract
Development in automobile sector is increasing day by day. Due to environmental pollution, conventional fuel vehicles are replaced by echo friendly advanced technologies. Due to simplicity and various advantages of SR motor, it can replace other motors. In In-Wheel motor electric vehicles, motors are installed on the wheels. The IW motor driven layout has number of benefits like fast motor response, precise torque generation, simplicity and ability to generate forward and reverse torques with no adverse effect on drive shaft stiffness. In this paper passive loading scheme is used for simulating IW SRM drive for EV.
