Abstract
This paper presents an assessment of the potential of utilizing the Berkeley-Bioreactor pile composting method as a heat recovery system for domestic heating applications with a focus on Jordanian farms. The study compares the economic feasibility of this system with existing thermal heating systems in the market. The results show that the proposed system is the most economically viable, cost-effective, and profitable option for domestic heating. The study highlights the potential of composting systems as a source of renewable energy for domestic heating applications and provides a useful guide for further research in this area.
