Abstract
This paper presents a single-phase PWM rectifier topology based on a bridgeless Ćuk converter in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The structure integrates two bridgeless Ćuk rectifiers, one for each half-line cycle, and it was not approached in the literature operating in CCM. A comparison with the bridgeless Ćuk rectifier in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) shows that the proposed converter in CCM can provide reduced current stress on the semiconductors for a similar design specification. This structure provides a high power factor and low input current THD. However, to ensure this, a multi-loop control system is required to control the converter's input current and output voltage. The topology and theoretical analysis are presented in the article and previous results were verified through simulation results in the PSIM software with the following specification: output power of 300 W; Input voltage of 220 V; Output voltage of 96 V and switching frequency of 58.6 kHz.
