Abstract
We demonstrate a new filter based on Slanted Bragg Grating (SBG) technology to flatten the gain of erbium doped fibre amplifier. 0.22dB gain excursion with below -30dB of in-band back-reflection and below 0.05dB of polarisation dependent loss have been obtained over 36nm.
