Abstract
With the fast developing tendency of urbanization, a bunch of metropolitan areas has been formed in China, some of the citizens are recommended or guided to live in satellite cities or other cities around so as to relieve the stress of ever-increasing population. Thus, the intra-city commuting trains connecting urban area and rural area, or the inter-city commuting trains connecting one city and other neighbor cities start to emerge. Jiaxing City, which is a city just located in the middle of Shanghai and Hangzhou, and also not far from Suzhou, has many inhabitants who work in those megacities or other satellite cities around these areas, may have large requirements on commuter tickets of intra-city or inter-city railway. Till now, specific research which focus on the feasibility of implementing commuter ticket in metropolitan area, especially in a city position like Jiaxing City between several megacities can still be hardly found. In this paper, based on awareness investigation of commuting by HSR, the feasibility of implementing commuter ticket has been done by employing normalization analysis method on the investigation data. Results has shown that the understanding of commuting by HSR is still limited, but 93.94% people support the HSR commuter ticket; and for the particularity of HSR commuting, it is only attractive to a small number of people at present.
