Abstract
In this paper, a wideband analog to information converter front-end circuit is designed. It is based on compressed sensing theory, and sample wideband analog signal, which is sparse in the frequency domain, at the sub-Nyquist rate. Then, through Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) reconstruction algorithm, the original wideband analog signal can be reconstructed from the low rate samples accurately. The circuit is designed in SMIC18mmrf technology, occupying 132um × 111um silicon area. Simulation results show the successful reconstruction of multi-tone signals for 512MHz bandwidth. The system power consumption is estimated to be 11.86mW, while maintaining the high compress rate, ×16.
