Abstract
A method to improve the assembly quality of cartridge primer based on image processing is proposed. In China's bullet production and testing, there is no special equipment and method for the corresponding selection and matching (hereinafter referred to as selection) after the detection of cartridge primer and cartridge. The fit between primer and cartridge is similar to that between two cylinders. Therefore, its roundness and size are detected based on image processing technology, so as to achieve optimal matching and improve the quality of assembly. This paper explains the principle of a primer shape detection mechanism, detects the image based on the edge detection algorithm of histogram equalization, and stores the primer characteristic data.
