Abstract
Results of a PIC numerical simulation of a compact 70-GHz superradiative BWO and estimates of the utmost parameters are presented. The predicted microwave pulse duration is ∼150 ps and the output power is up to 0.4 GW. Used as a prototype for simulations was the 38-GHz subgigawatt BWO. Calculations were performed for actual values of the accelerating pulsed voltage and electron beam current. Two versions of the focusing magnetic system have been considered: one with an impulse solenoid and the other with a high-coercivity permanent magnet.
