Abstract
The article presents a new technology and design methodology of dynamic inductive coupling based wireless power transmission intended for the real-time measurement of rotor characteristics of electrical machines. The technology is based on dynamic inductive power transmission using three series-connected receivers on the secondary side. The article summarizes the key system features and discusses optimization steps to maximize the device efficiency. The technical description includes the design of both coupling elements, and power electronics and explains power transmission and communication principles. The functionality of the proposed system is verified by developed device prototype embedded into 270 kW permanent magnets synchronous generator.
