Abstract
In this paper, a control method for microturbine-generation based series hybrid power system is presented. In the power generation system, microturbine runs coaxially with the permanent magnet synchronous generator. The closed-loop speed control is implemented by generator to control the speed of generator and microturbine, which allows the microturbine to operate in the high efficiency range steadily. And a closed-loop current control is presented to control the current of battery and to realize accurate power distribution. The control strategy has been checked by means of detailed simulations whose parameters are from a real power generation system, which have confirmed its effectiveness.
