Abstract
Frequency modulation (FM) is an important modulation method, which is widely used in communication fields such as radio and satellite. In this paper, we use FPGA as the hardware basis and ARM Cortex-MO as the control core to build an FM receiver SOPC. The system also builds hardware IIC peripherals, hardware SPI peripherals, and digital signal processing modules. Among them, the IIC peripheral is used to configure the FM transmitter chip, and the SPI peripheral is used to configure the FM receiver chip. The digital signal processing module is used to process the received signal, including signal demodulation, signal filter and sig-nal automatic gain control, and finally sends the processed signal to the speaker through PWM to DAC to complete the reception and transmission of FM signal. Using the SOPC method to build an FM receiver, the soft core can be used to realize the flexible control of the operation process, and at the same time, the hardware resources can be used to implement complex digital signal processing algorithms, bringing better processing quality to the FM receiver.
