Abstract
Investigation of fission after electromagnetic excitation and spallation requires to unambiguously identifying all particles produced during the processes. Identification of the nuclear charge of the fission fragments is attributed to a Multi-Sampling Ionization chamber (MUSIC) with minimized thickness. The detector design and first results obtained during in-beam experiments are presented.
