Abstract
This paper presents the Demand Side Management (DSM) conservation technique to improve overall energy efficiency of the street lighting system and also by using energy efficient appliances like Light Emitting Diodes (LED)s, Centralize Control Monitoring System (CCMS), Individual Lighting Device Control (ILDC) etc. Also leads to substantial savings in electricity consumption. In order to conduct DSM analysis, the street lighting system is simulated in DIALux evo 7.1 software and reveals the data to construct a designed system with an efficient manner. Moreover, the experimental results have been carried out in the field and shown that the power consumption can be saved up to 40-55%. In addition, the energy saving can be extended more up to 60-65% by adding Individual Lighting Device Control, Dimming control technology and voltage optimization. The main aim of this paper is to introduce new LED technology, save electrical energy consumption, reduce maximum demand and reduce CO 2 . Future more, monitoring using a web site-based application called CM DASHBOARD is embedded to continuous monitoring of the equipment's. The conclusion of this paper is to save electrical energy, reduce the maximum load demands and construct the efficient street lighting system by using DIALux evo software. This work carried out with the help of Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL) private limited.
