Abstract
The past decades have seen the IT revolution impact the medical field, with numerous solutions for permanent monitoring, automated measurements and decision making support systems. Most of the current work focuses on life-critical or long-term monitoring solutions. However, we still need to invest more effort into the automation of classical tests. Doctors in ENT, neurologists and work medicine specialists routinely perform standard equilibrium tests, such as Romberg or Unterberger tests. They carry these out mostly in a manual fashion and employ static annotations. We propose ENTy, an automated measuring system that adds value to the medical process by reducing doctors' effort for both testing and annotation. It increases the precision of the noted parameters and offers an auditable and traceable progress report for patients and specialists.
