Abstract
In view of the increasing shortage of traditional emergency control resources in the second defense line of the power grid, the electrochemical energy storage (EES) was applicated in the transient power angle stability control, due to the rapidity and bidirectional power control ability. Firstly, the dual machine equivalent model with EES is deduced. Based on EEAC theory, the principle of EES to improve the transient stability margin is analyzed. Secondly, a more accurate calculation method was proposed to get the minimum working time of EES, in consideration of the action delay between the relay system and stability control system, which will make the EES working more efficiently. Thirdly, a coordinated control method based on cost-performance ratio was proposed to improve the economy of emergency control with multi-type measures. Finally, simulation results of the practical example of Northwest China power grid have verified the effectiveness of the proposed calculating method for EES minimum working time. And The rationality of the proposed coordinated control strategy has been also verified by the simulation, in consideration of both the safety and economy of the emergency control. The research conclusion can provide theoretical and practical guidance for the emergency control with large-scale EES in future power grid.
