Abstract
Micro-grid is a discrete energy system consisting of distributed energy resources capable of operating in tandem or independently from the main grid. Nowadays the former one is preferred. The smart interconnection of distributed energy (DG) resources determines the quality of the power supplied by the energy source. It is obtained by the appropriate control strategies of micro-grids. This project deals with the adaptive control strategy for micro-grid which consists of solar photovoitaic systems and wind energy systems. Solar photovoitaic systems are grid interfaced through power electronic converters and the wind energy system through induction generators. The proposed controller is responsible for the efficient delivery of the active power and power factor improvement. The test system and the controller operation is verified using MATLAB Simulink simpower system tool box.
