Abstract
This paper outlines a practical realization of the farad in the revised SI at LNE. To improve the traceability of the unit of capacitance in the SI with a target relative standard uncertainty of one part in 10 8 , a new Thompson-Lampard calculable capacitor is currently developed. This paper presents the latest developments on the alignment of the electrodes and the positioning of the movable guard in the cavity.
