Abstract
We report the results of a one-year long-term performance study of a high precision space-system oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) clock. The oscillator clock uses 10 MHz 5th overtone SC-cut resonator premium Q swept quarts. The experimental study includes the OCXO’s equilibration time, longterm aging rates, Allan deviations and the long-term stability of the oscillator’s frequency tuning function. The results are useful references for applications of high quality OCXO in space systems.
