Abstract
This paper introduces different setups for conducted electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing during the charging process of on-board AC chargers from electric vehicles (EVs). Both, component measurements according to CISPR 25 (vehicle side) and IEC 61851-21-1 (grid side) interferences, in compliance with the current standard specifications, are investigated. In these setups, a second reference ground plane is introduced to emulate the stray capacitances between the car body and the ground potential of the anechoic chamber. Additionally, a simplified chamber filter is modeled to investigate its effects on the noise level and thus also to consider loads installed outside the anechoic chamber. Finally, measurements of the structural impedance between the ground plates have been carried out to visualize the influences of the ground connections an assign the resulting perturbations.
