Abstract
Under the background of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, traditional disinfection methods have many problems, such as raw material consumption, stimulating the human body, environmental pollution, and so on. The new disinfection technology has great application and development space. Plasma medicine, as a representative of the emerging interdisciplinary field, has received great attention. Plasma contains a variety of highly active components, which can effectively kill pathogenic microorganisms. It has the advantages of no chemical residue, safe operation, and environmental safety. On this basis, a plasma-activated water mist (PAWM) technology based on dielectric barrier discharges (DBD) came into being. The large area/volume ratio of micron droplets promoted the transformation of gaseous short-life reactive oxygen-nitrogen ions into liquid active particles, which had the advantages of high activity, large treatment area, and low cost. In this paper, the plasma-activated water mist was used as the core technology to explore efficient, environmentally friendly, convenient disinfection equipment that can directly act on the living body, and provide a scientific basis and reference for the research on epidemic prevention and control.
