Abstract
The primary factors leading to paralysis are thrombosis, severe head trauma, or spinal cord damage. In the majority of instances, individuals experiencing paralysis are unable to communicate their basic needs to their caregivers or family members due to loss of voluntary motor control caused by brain impairment. Consequently, the supportive mechanism for partially hemiplegic patients effectively automates the patients' caregiving needs, ensuring prompt attention and optimal health. This system communicates the fundamental necessities of partially paralyzed patients to their guardians via messages sent to their designated phone numbers. The patients' hand gestures are measured using the MPU-6050 (a micro accelerometer and gyro sensor) and serve as the basis for conveying messages (Hungry, need water, need medicine, or Restroom). Furthermore, the designed system monitors vital health parameters, such as heart rate and oxygen saturation (SPO2), utilizing the MAX-30100 (pulse oximeter sensor).
