Abstract
A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm changes with voltage and current (perturb & observe) technique for photovoltaic (PV) & 5-stage H-bridge multi stage inverter is connected with solar panel is presented in this research. This approach is suitable to implements highest power point tracking (PPT) & change DC power to AC power by changeable reference of voltage & current which are always changed during some time (up to 6 sec). In this technique a small disturbance is applied to the system. Due to the disturbances the output power of PV system changes. If power increases due to disturbances then the disturbances is continued in the previous direction. After the peak (highest) power is reached then power at next point decreases and thus after that the disturbances reverse. When the stable state is achieved, algorithm vibrates around the highest point. In order to remain the small power changes, disturbances (perturbation) size is kept very small in range. The technique is advanced in such a way that it fixed reference voltage of PV system equivalent to the highest voltage of the PV system.
