Abstract
A compact repetitive superradiative Ka-band BWO is described and the results of a study of its characteristics are presented. For an electron beam transported in a magnetic field of 2 T, which is less than the value corresponding to cyclotron resonance, the efficiency of conversion of electron beam power to pulsed electromagnetic radiation is close to unity. The peak power of an electromagnetic SR pulse of duration 250 ps is ∼500 MW.
