Abstract
To foster sustainable and low-emission transmission of power, it is necessary to increase the penetration of renewable generation and incorporate a hybrid grid. A hybrid grid has the drawback of reduced damping of oscillations due to reduced number of synchronous generators. Thus, it is vital that sufficient damping be provided. Interarea oscillations are damped out by generator redis-patch method. This paper represents an analytical implementation of the formula for the sensitivity of the mode eigenvalue with respect to generator re-dispatch on hybrid grid. The generator re-dispatch is carried out according to the damping ratio. The terms of the formula are obtained from line flow analysis and linearized model of the system. 1
