Abstract
This paper presents a new direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm. The novel approach constructs the spatial spectrum by utilizing the steady-state weights of the adaptive algorithm in direct data domain instead of the noise subspace. A practical method for the DOA estimation of coherent signals is also presented in this paper, which utilizes the symmetric conjugate vector in direct data domain. Compared with the conventional method, the proposed approach has improved performance, and it does not need to estimate the source number and the covariance matrix. Also, it does not need the eigen-decomposition and only has a low computational complexity of O(MP).
