Abstract
In the recent years, discrete Fourier transform (DFT) played an important role for the prediction of exons in DNA sequences. The performance of DFT depends upon the window functions. Therefore, in this study the analysis of DFT using different window functions for protein coding region detection in DNA sequences has been done. Also the performance of different window functions has been compared based on the area under the curve (AUC).
