Abstract
With the increasing complexity of electrical network grid, incorporating both Source and Load, there is a need for the increase of efficient functionality of the system. this is accomplished by the proposed new power theory based of solar PV control, along with the unified power quality conditioner. This proposed work uses the Generalized Cascaded Delay Signal Cancellation Technique in order to seperate the positive sequence of the fundamental frequency voltage component from the point of common coupling, which is required for the generation of reference waveform for Photo Voltaic (PV) and Unified Power Quality Conditioner-S integrated system.Here the series Voltage source Converter (VSC) supplies reactive power at all time and the rating on shunt VSC is also reduced, further the PV penetration at DC bus of Unified Power Quality Conditioner supplies a fraction of active load power and hence reducing demand on source side. this dynamic performance of new power based related PV-UPQC-S is observed by simulating the system in MATLAB-SIMULINK with both linear and non linear loads.
