Abstract
The paper suggests a load balancing strategy in a CORBA environment The Interceptor has been used effectively for the purpose. As is well known, CORBA does not provide any load balancing standard. CORBA compatibility has been kept intact by using the interceptor in a non-intrusive manner. The load information in each host is reported to the load analyzer through the event channel whenever the host load is passed up or down within the specified threshold. It reduces the network load that would result with periodical load reporting. Load balancing with reasonable network traffic is the benefit that accrues.
