Abstract
This paper reports a low-cost polymeric Carbon black-SU8-glycidol piezoresistive microcantilever biosensor platform. Employing the 22-mer Human Telomeric DNA (G-Telomere) as the biosensing layer it is demonstrated here for the first time a label-free detection of ppm levels of Malachite Green (MG) in water. As MG is known to selectively induce and stabilize formation of the G-Quadruplex DNA motifs the biosensor can simultaneously be used to study in situ formation of the noncanonical nucleic acid structures and their dynamics.
