Abstract
The Tokamak Physics Experiment (TPX) has been proposed to demonstrate steady-state operation and to develop advanced performance in terms of /spl beta/ and energy confinement. Major TPX cost drivers and the impact of physics and technology constraints and options on operating scenarios are identified. Key trade and sensitivity studies performed using SUPERCODE are summarized.
