Abstract
The biomass gasifier using intense heat air/steam synthetic gas production technology has been designed and developed to demonstrate a latest energy system which is dependent on surrogative fuels like biomass, in which the temperature will be increased through oxidizer (air) and improves the heating value of the syn. gas that has been produced and reduces the amount of feedstock to be combusted. In HTAG, the preheated oxidizer enhances the the gasification process and improves the thermic petrifaction of the feedstock which results in improved performance cycle. In this research the temperature of the oxidizer was elevated using air preheater and the performance parameters of the gasifier were optimised.
