Abstract
Impedance matching is an essential part of a microwave heating system, in order to avoid reflections and optimize the operations of the generator. In some applications, the load under heating has its impedance variable with time. In this case, an automatic matching system is required. This paper presents a methodology to build an automatic matching system. The matching algorithm is based on gradient information and an off-line tuning is proposed. Simulation results are presented and discussed.
